Wednesday, September 27th. bright and early at 7AM, the high school held its yearly “See You at the Pole” meeting.  “See You at the Pole” is a nationwide event where students gather around the school flag pole and pray.  This event is student led, normally by the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)  group, and students are encouraged to pray about both personal and world issues. This year,  15 participants from high school, middle school, and staff showed up to pray.  Prayer topics included the welfare of those affected by the hurricanes, the government, and those with illnesses.  The theme of this year was from Hebrews 12:2 — “Fix your eyes on Jesus.”   The FCA leader, junior Corben Slack discussed ways that students could focus on Jesus despite what was going on in their everyday lives.  Donuts were also provided which left everyone with sticky fingers and happy tummies.
